10 things i wish i knew going into highschool

1.  Uncertainty is certain.

There is no antidote to uncertainty.  Everything is always uncertain.

2.  Life is a circle.

Everything you do, everything you say, every choice you make, comes back around.

3. You have full control of your fears.

Your fear is 100% dependent on YOU for its survival, and it is the only thing standing between you and your goals.  Deal with your fears; don’t let them deal with you.

 

4. It’s impossible to love someone who doesn’t love himself or herself.

When someone doesn’t love who they are, they pretend to be someone else, and others end up falling in love with their mask, instead of who they really are.  To keep the affection they keep pretending and performing behind this mask.

5.  Your journey is ultimately what you make of it.

There’s no such thing as perfect happiness, just as there’s no such thing as perfect despair.  What does exist is a continuous series of imperfect moments filled with infinite possibilities and opportunities for you to interpret them and do with them as you please.

 6. A positive vision makes a big difference.

Don’t just see things the way they are.  Envision yourself in the place you want to be, skillfully doing what you are capable of doing.  Envision yourself in this place living the life you desire.  Allow yourself to dream in full color, and know with certainty, that this dream is achievable if you want it to be.

 

7. Money is to be saved, not spent.

I spent money just as fast as I got it. It wouldn't last but twenty minutes in my pocket, before I was handing it over the counter to buy something useless. Which will just end up in the back of my closet in a day, not to be touched again till I throw it out.

8. Rejection is a Part of Life

High school is a roller coaster ride; one minute you feel on top of the world and the next minute you just want to curl up and disappear, but you’ll get through it. When someone rejects you, like a boyfriend or best friend, try to learn from the experience. The same thing applies to not making the team or failing to make call backs for the school play; each rejection is a chance for you to grow and learn from your mistakes

9. Be a friend to everyone

I’m not saying that it’s necessary to become bosom friends with the one person that you most despise or the really awkward kid that never talks, but try smiling at the new kid and introducing yourself. If you’re nice first, most people will be drawn in by that kindness. Teachers will notice it too, and appreciate the fact that having you in their class makes their job just a smidgen easier

10. Be part of the solution

be apart of the sollution not the problem .
